DON'T REPEAT THE SAME IGNORANT CYCLE!

Every year at income tax time people make the same mistake over and over,.... year by year!! They go buy a piece of junk from a tote the note lot with no warranty!  Then when the car breaks they have to choose between the repair and rent!  Stop buying BEATUP vehicles from SHADY car lots!  Do your homework!  Does the car have a clean CARFAX report?  Has it been in an accident?  How long are you planning on financing it?  Does it have over 100,000 miles?  If so the payment won't be that good on it!  You'll be paying a NEW CAR payment for a BUCKET!! USE YOUR HEAD!! You are a payment shopper!!! You need to get something newer with a warranty that you can finance for 72 months and it's reliable in order to repair your credit.  Then you may have a chance to get a nice vehicle NEXT YEAR when you get your income tax instead of another bucket!  Do what you like, just my 2 cents.  Hope this helps someone.  Go to this link and calculate your payment for 36 months on a $10,000 bucket and then do 72 months on a $18,000 new car.  Youu can buy a car from this guy pictured below or #comeseeyaman #ineedacartony.

HOW MUCH DINE?

HOW MUCH DOWN????? My favorite question, -_- lol.  Actually it's a very good question!! My answer is $5,000!!!! Kind of silly right?  Well let me explain like instructions to a game!  Down payment is based on a variety of things.  1.  Credit.  If your credit is strong enough you can get approved for 100% financing and have to put ZERO down!! Or if your credit is challenged you need anywhere from 10% of the vehicle to as much as 50% if you are really in dire straits!  As a rule of thumb try to have $1,500 down to pay the TT&L.  2.  TRADE.  Is there a trade involved?  If there is and you are upside down in it, you may have to come with a lump sum to offset the negative equity. 3.  CASH IS KING!
The more cash you put down the less risk you are asking the lender to take!  If you are a special finance customer this is important!! MAKE SENSE?  So I hope this answers everyone's question and #comeseeyaman! I can put you in the car of your dreams today!

RECESSION IN H TOWN THIS SUMMER?

The rest of the country had their recession! Meanwhile, back at the ranch AKA H town, the Houston economy was arguably one of the strongest in the country.  If you aren't familiar Houston is a concrete jungle and a farm all in one!  It combines big city business with HOLE IN THE WALL values.  The city's economy is driven by the oil, medical and automotive industry.  The current national average is $2.14, Houston is $1.93.  If gas is not $3 by Memorial Day weekend which is 20 weeks away, it could spell trouble for Houston!   Feel free to chime in with your thoughts in comments.

Synthetic vs Conventional Oil

The next time you walk in to your local shop to get your oil changed and the service attendant asks you synthetic or regular? You just might have to think twice before you answer...for the sake of your wallet, and yes, the environment too!
First off, synthetic oil is better than conventional oil when it comes to its form and function. Conventional oil could never stand up to synthetic when it comes to longevity and ability to handle extreme high temperatures without breaking down.
But all this advanced technology doesn't come cheap. A synthetic oil change can cost over twice as much as conventional oil...but is it worth it beyond its obvious better performance characteristics?
This is not exactly a straight yes or no answer to go along with this question as there are several variables to consider, but in general, most experts would agree that synthetic is (for now) the lesser of the two evils.
Their logic stems from the fact that while conventional oil is evil because it is derived from petroleum, synthetics are unfortunately formed by chemicals that are no less harmful to the environment... but there is a difference here. Synthetics can last as much as three times longer than conventional oil, which means that you could be dumping less than 15 to 24 quarts of oil per year.
This is of course assuming that you are not recycling your used oil, because if you are, at least a good portion of this oil should be getting reused, but it is quite an extensive process to filter used oil for reuse...so the question still remains, which is better?
For your pocket book, there is not much of a difference if you allow your oil change cycles to last longer with synthetic. There is a debate on when you should change your oil, because the age old consensus has always been every 3 months or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first.
With todays technology, synthetics are cleaner and meaner (just not necessarily any greener). Their composition is much cleaner, because it is derived in a laboratory rather than nature, and it has been proven to have a lower volatility and therefore not vaporize out the exhaust as quickly.
Synthetics have also been shown to produce less resistance in the engine and therefore offer more horsepower and overall efficiency for the engine. This added horsepower in return means that the engine will be able to perform at the same level as before, but using slightly less gas.
Depending on where you drive (dusty, dirty climates), and how much and far you drive (shorter distances don't heat oil enough to boil off condensation in the engine), you can probably last between oil changes for 10,000, 15,000, on up to 20,000 miles with some brands of synthetic.
There is a middle choice to make things even more confusing, the synthetic blend. This mixes the two together to give you a moderately better oil at better cost to you. These don't quite have the longevity of the full synthetics, so it really all comes out in the wash in the end.
If you want to be on the safe side, you can follow what your manufacturer recommends as far as oil goes. In general more performance oriented vehicles require synthetic because of the high heat that builds in these engines, whereas conventional engines don't require anything special.
While synthetics appear to be the more environmentally friendly choice for the moment, there is hope for a vegetable oil (such as canolaalternative that would beat synthetic in both form and function, as well as production price. But the same problem exists here as it does for some biofuel alternatives.
We would have to surrender part of our agricultural crops for food, to produce these crops for motor oil. Food for the planet...or a cleaner environment, why is there never a clearcut choice towards the path of least carbon foot resistance?
Until such a time that we have a more obvious choice, we can continue to make our best informed decisions on engine oil. Sometimes it is not so much a choice of right and a wrong, as it is a choice of the lesser of the two wrongs. Of course, if you are considering going electric, you cold bypass this dilemma altogether!

When Is the BEST time to BUY

Buying a new car at the right time can pay off. Buyers who catch the dealer at just the right time can save hundreds or even thousands of dollars on their new-car transactions. Conventional wisdom states that the best time to buy is at the end of the year, when dealers are discounting vehicles to meet their annual sales goals. It's true: Buying at the end of the calendar year is smart. But there's no guarantee that a year-end sale will yield the best deal on every new-car model. And not every buyer can afford to wait. Fortunately, smart shoppers can get good deals all year long using the same logic that drives year-end bargain prices.
That means understanding how dealers operate, then hitting them when they're most anxious to close sales. Nearly all new-car sales representatives work on commission, be it a percentage of the sale price or a flat rate per vehicle. Each individual involved in a dealer's sales process -- from the salesperson to the finance manager -- is given goals. That's why the year-end strategy works for buyers. Even when sales are strong in the first 11 months of the year, dealers push in December to meet or exceed their goals.
Of course, sales professionals don't wait until December to sell vehicles and meet goals. They work hard throughout the year to turn shoppers into buyers, and their short-term sales goals can be just as beneficial to buyers. Looking for this short-term push -- which actually happens every day -- can lead to an attractive deal for buyers.

Timing Is Everything

At the end of the day, for example, sales and finance professionals are ready to head home. But a smart salesperson will not let a serious potential customer walk away just because the dealership is ready to turn off the lights and lock the doors. New-car shoppers can often negotiate strong deals during late hours, provided the salesperson thinks he or she is dealing with a serious buyer. Staying late to close a deal doesn't change the fact that everyone's ready to go home, so the dealer may make concessions to speed up the negotiation. Of course, shoppers may be tired and ready to go home, too, causing the plan to backfire. Make sure you're well-rested and ready to hang in there for the long haul if you decide to pursue this strategy.
This same technique can be used at the end of the month or quarter, too, since dealers usually operate on a monthly cycle and use that time interval to measure sales. Hitting the dealership at the end of the month may be less stressful for buyers than negotiating at the end of the day, too; the atmosphere at the negotiating table may be calmer when salespeople are not anxious to get home to their families or personal lives. If the dealer or a sales representative is just shy of monthly goals, buyers could have a negotiating advantage. In some cases, buyers can get great deals at the end of the month even when sales goals are met. The reason is that special bonuses for salespeople sometimes kick in only after he or she reaches the monthly goals.

In Season

Another smart time to buy a new car is late summer or early fall, when new-model-year vehicles are rolling into dealers' inventories. This year, buyers may get an attractive deal on a 2013 model vehicle, provided the replacement 2014 models are already on the lot. In some cases, dealers will even have the previous model year in stock. AutoTrader.com still has listings for brand-new 2012 model vehicles. On the other hand, buyers who demand the newest models will likely pay closer to the manufacturer's suggested retail price, or "sticker price." In the case of some all-new or redesigned models in high demand, dealers may ask for more than the sticker price. Don't expect to get both the latest model and the best deal. It's likely you'll have to make some concession if you want the best possible price.
Buying a new car at the end of the calendar year remains a good strategy because it follows the same logic as these other buying techniques; it's based on when the dealer is most anxious to negotiate. But the window for buying is relatively small, and not all shoppers can afford to wait. So hit the dealership any time demand is low -- even on a rainy or snowy day -- and you'll be more likely to save compared to the shopper who negotiates when the dealer is busy closing sales.
