HOW TO BUY A CAR WITH A PRE APPROVAL FROM A CREDIT UNION

NOWWWWWWW this is a topic that is sureeeee to spark some serious debate, but it should be a slam dunk!  So i'll ask you this question 1st!  As a consumer is it about YOU! or do you PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE to your credit union?  DO YOU DRINK THE KOOL AID? Have you fallen for the Banana in the tailpipe?  So you HAVE TO LET THEM FINANCE YOU HUH? LOL I laugh because the jokes on you!  You've been bamboozled!

Here's how it all unfolds for sooooommmmmeeeee people!! They get an approval for a car for say $35,000 dollars at the credit union at let's say 6.9%.  Decent rate right?  Or is it?  Remember the credit union is 1 BANK!  To quote the great CHRIS ROCK! I WANT ONE RIB!!! lol  I say that to say this.  If you allow them to do the financing that's GREAT!  HOWEVERRRRRRRR #STEVENASMITHVOICE.  Is it about MR & MRS (your name here) or about BLAH,BLAH,BLAH CREDIT UNION?  If it's about your corporation, which is HUBBY & WIFEY ENTERTAINMENT, lol, then the correct way to proceed is THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!

YOU ALLOW THE DEALERSHIP 1 CRACK AT BEATING THE RATE!  They will not shotgun your credit all over the place like the DUDE at your credit union is telling you!! He wants you to go directly to him!! Nowhere else!! So he can get paid!!  He will tell you something like... "well  I know their rate is cheaper, but direct deposit, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.. OR some other CREDIT UNION DUDE RHETORIC!  Most dealerships have multiple sources to go through for financing, and it's a dog eat dog business!  The dealership may have an arrangement with the credit union direct to go around your loan officer and get you a better rate with more incentives but it has to go DIRECTLY THROUGH THE DEALERSHIPS CHANNELS rather than to CREDIT UNION DUDE. And in the end will save a great deal of money! Which is what you should want to accomplish!  GET IT?  If not #SIGH let me go deeper, AIGHT!

Your goal when you go onto any car lot is to get the car you have been dreaming about for the best price!!  If it's not, then your job may need to drug test you, lol. Sometimes the dealerships and the lenders need to make their numbers and will destroy a credit unions numbers to get the deal for themselves!  Which saves you money!!   So we started at 6.9% 2 paragraphs ago right?  Well now let's say the dealership got you 1.9 on that same $35,000 for 72 months and no payment for 90 days/ or gap insurance included.  THAT'S $80 PER MONTH!! OVER 72 MONTHS ITS $5782!! WOW!! Check it out at BANKRATE.COM if you don't believe me!!

Now i will close it like thissssssssssssssssss!!  You don't have to believe me! LOL, Remember I'm a salesman, I DON'T CARE WHO FINANCES IT!! I get paid to sell the car! So cash, check, or can goods I get paid either way!  So what interest do I have?  My interest is making sure that you buy the vehicle!  But I have seen many credit unions hold up deals!! AND YOU SAY HOW TONY?????!!!!!!

People come onto the lot with something like only $15k to find a car, which handcuffs you!! THE BEST PRACTICE IS THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.  It's just like buying a house, but even better!!! 
GET APPROVED WITH YOUR CREDIT UNION, #COMESEEYAMAN!! LET ME PICK OUT THE VEHICLE OF YOUR DREAMS!  THEN LET THE FINANCE GUYS GO TO WORK!  IF THEY BEAT YOUR CREDIT UNION COOL, AND IF NOT COOL!! YOU STILL GOT THAT NEW WHIP RIGHT?!!!
BUT IF THE CREDIT'S UNIONS KOOL AID IS THAT GREAT EVEN IF THEY ARE HIGHER THEN AFTER YOU GET THE GOOD RATE..... I GUESS YOU CAN SEE IF THEY CAN BEAT THE DEALERSHIP RATE!  NOTICE A TREND?!! YOU ARE THE WINNER!!!

My only problem with this situation issssssssssssssss thisssssssssssss......You go to your credit union and they do a hard hit on your scores and then you turn around and go to the dealership for them to do the exact same thing. BUMMER! One could potentially walk out of the dealership with nothing more than two hard hits on your credit report; not the set of shiny new keys to a shiny new whip. How unfortunate!

Good point! But keep in mind. The point of the pre approval is to avoid going to 10 dealerships and allowing all of them to run your credit. When you have the pre approval, you know you CAN GET FINANCED. So you can shop online and walk in the dealership and work on THE PRICE OF THE VEHICLE. Then 9 times out of 10 the dealership WILL BEAT THE CREDIT UNION FINANCING. Then you do get that SHINY WHIP! lol Now if you go and can't figure out what you want then you have a problem, but you don't allow them to run your credit if you don't want the car. But think about it, you are ALREADY APPROVED by the credit union, so if you don't walk out with a car it's because you didn't want one.
